Hey, I'm Anna - the owner of The Cozy Bee Bakery! I've had a passion for baking since I was very little, so when I discovered the wonderful art of sourdough a few years ago I absolutely fell in love with it. Everything I bake is entirely from scratch, truly putting my heart and soul into each step of the process.

What Is Sourdough

Sourdough is the art of making bread using a natural leaven. The long fermentation process, which uses lactic acid bacteria and wild yeast to break down the gluten in the flour, makes this delicious bread much easier for your body to digest. This same fermentation process is also what gives sourdough bread its many health benefits of vitamins and minerals, while also making it easier for your body to absorb these vitamins. "Sourdough", or, "Naturally leavened bread" is what has been made by men and women for millennia, only being within the last couple of centuries that manufactured commercial grade yeast was introduced, thus making most of the bread on the grocery store shelves today hard for the body to process.
