My Story
Hey, I'm Anna - the owner of The Cozy Bee Bakery! I've had a passion for baking since I was very little, so when I discovered the wonderful art of sourdough a few years ago I absolutely fell in love with it. Everything I bake is entirely from scratch, truly putting my heart and soul into each step of the process.


What Is Sourdough?
Sourdough is the art of making bread using a natural leaven. This leaven -- known as starter -- uses lactic acid bacteria and wild yeast to break down the gluten in the flour, making this delicious bread much easier for your body to digest. This fermentation process is also what gives sourdough bread its many health benefits of vitamins and minerals, while also making it easier for your body to absorb these vitamins. This is how bread was made for most of history, before the invention of commercial yeast. It was mixed by hand, left to ferment, shaped, and baked, all with time and intention.
